Zanzibar

Zanzibar is Africa’s beast, beach, honeymoon, and relaxation destination. Located just off the coast of Tanzania, these islands have a long and varied history. Combined with the shining white beaches and luxury resorts, this makes the Spice Islands a fantastic place for anyone looking for an interesting island holiday.
The coast of the main island is dotted with different resorts for all budgets and holiday styles. Most of best beaches are on the eastern coast, where you will fins powder white sand protected by a coral reef. The exception to this is Kendwa beach on the west side of the island, a relatively secluded and stunning spot overlooking Tumbatu Island. Kzimkazi in the south doesn’t have such a great beach, but offers the best near-shore snorkelling and diving in Zanzibar. Head to Paje beach for the best kite surfing and stand-up paddleboarding.
Get lost wandering the ancient cobbled streets of Stone Town, a historic trading town that brought together African, Arab, Indian and European traders to exchange spices and slaves. You will find street stalls, a bustling market, trinket shops, historic museums, fortified walls, and the legendary night market where you can eat fresh seafood and unique Zanzibar pizzas.
