Las Vegas

Las Vegas needs no introduction. It is a modern cultural icon and an altar to American hedonism and consumerism sitting in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. Elvis sang about it, Hunter S Thompson wrote about it, and over 40 million people visit it each year.
Much of the city’s popularity owes to its extravagant casinos, of which there are over 100. Caesars Palace may be the most famous, with its Roman statues and columns, meanwhile Bellagio is one of the top spots for playing poker. Non-gamblers might like the MGM Grand, where they can leave their gambling friends at the slots and head to the massive arcade and fun zone.
Outside of the casinos, Vegas has plenty of shopping, fine dining, entertainment, and nightlife to keep you busy. Take a scenic drive through the red rock formations of the Valley of Fire, punt in a gondola at the Venetian Hotel, see the fountain show at the Bellagio, watch one of Vegas’ famous shows such as the Blue Man Group, and dine at one of the many celebrity chef restaurants.
